'Miss Piss & Vinegar Lime' is fondly referred to as 'Missi-pissi'. Her call name is 'Cricket', because she makes as much noise, and hops like one. This is one spirited tiny tyke (she weighed just 7.5 lbs when she came home)! She lives with Jan, Henry & Willow Rines. |
We
brought her home on January 4th. In the first 10 minutes in our house, Missi
Pissi Lime...
At bed time, we put her in a kennel in our bedroom, a mere 2 feet from the edge of the bed. I've never heard such noise in my life! Willow (trying to sleep ON the bed) stuck her nose in my face and said, "gggrmfff. do something..." luckily, 5 minutes later, missi-pissi simply turned off, like a switch. In the morning, outside, she figured out in 5 minutes how to tunnel under the snow-fence play pen, and cavort on the other side. She did so twice in 10 minutes. (The Dervish never did so once in 4 months!. YIKES!!! She is having a grand time playing on Willow's beginning agility equipment. She looked at a jump (maybe 6" high), and simply ran up to it, struggled her way over, and landed on her nose.... On Sunday, Henry's sister Marj (http://mrines.com)came down (pics on line at: http://mrines.com/Family/MissyPissy/ ). We were outside in the playpen... there was a dead sparrow under a bush, which had probably departed this earth when it flew into a window. I had noticed it earlier, but decided to remove it later with a trowel or some such thing. Willow never saw it, but MP dove under the bush, scooped it up, and came out prancing and prancing and prancing! I guess I better get one of those ducks out of the freezer, and call out Carol! Willow is absolutely enchanted, and is quite protective of 'her' puppy... its really funny to watch Willow go find a toy, and drop it in front of Missi-pissi. They expend huge amounts of energy rough-housing, but it general Willow is very careful of this tiny mite. On the few occasions where she's gotten a little too rough and MP squawks in protest, Willow looks horrified, and runs to Henry as if to say, "Did I break her?" They are already pretty close to inseparable. Recently, Willow decided that she should 'help' take MP for a walk - she grabs the tiny leash in her mouth and yanks her along... |
